It is reported that Pamela Green, glamour model, actress and star of the Harrison Marks film 'Naked as Nature Intended' has died aged 81. The film, made in the early 1960's, used the pretext of five girls discovering the delights of naturism to get large amounts of naked female flesh past the strict film censorship of the time. Whilst more exploitation than a promotion of naturism, 'Naked as Nature Intended' has, for better or worse, a place in the history of social nudity in Britain. "The only way to include nudity was to push the Naturist movement... providing we finished in a Nudist camp, the censor would allow it." The "Nudist camp" in question was Spielplatz and Charles Macaskie, the club's founder, appeared briefly in the film. Pamela Green is second from the left in this still: Pamela herself was, she revealed in a BBC interview, a practicing nudist: "I joined a nudist camp in order to obtain an even tan," No photographer would use a model with suntan marks."
The full story of the making of 'Naked as Nature Intended' can be found on Pamela's website.
