A new information leaflet produced by the Studland Beach Users Action Group includes a section devoted to the "official" naturist beach and emphasises the continuing efforts by local naturists to curb anti-social behaviour - particularly dogging, swingers, voyeurism and other inappropriate sexual activity.
Naturists or Nudists Naturism or nudism are the same thing – the freedom to enjoy life without clothes. Studland has welcomed nudists for many decades and continues to do so with an area designated by The National Trust as an ‘Official UK Naturist Beach’ Nudists are visible from many parts of the central area of the peninsula which is open to all and is one of the country’s most beautiful places to try clothesfree recreation for the first time. Naturists deplore the activities of those who, through sexual misconduct, threaten to bring naturism into disrepute. Offenders get no support from local or national naturist organisations Naturists using Studland beach are encouraged to report any criminal activity by calling Dorset Police (Tel: 01305 222222) or Crimestoppers (Tel: 0800 555111) SBUAG is a sub-committee of the Purbeck Community Safety Action Group established under the Crime and Disorder Partnership for Dorset. It includes representatives from, among other organisatioins and groups, British Naturism, Castaways naturist group, Studland United Nudists, The National Trust, The Ramblers Association, Purbeck District Council and Dorset County Council, |
