The 'designation' notices at Morfa Dyffryn naturist beach in Gwynedd have reportedly gone missing. This is said to have resulted in naturists "straying" away from their secton of the beach. In news report by BBC Wales, Gwynedd Council claimed that signs marking the nudist beach had been moved without permission. Gwynedd councillor Mr Emyr Pugh said it was simply a matter of having the signs replaced, before conceding that designation of a part of the beach for use by naturists had worked very well and had reduced complaints from textiles to almost nil. The alleged movement of the signs may be not be unconnected with some dissatisfaction among long-time users of the beach who,at the time of their erection in 2000, felt that the designated area of the beach was much smaller than they had traditionally enjoyed using. |
